Always Plan Ahead

It has been a rough few weeks for me. Even though I have been working out 5-6 days a week, my weight has been at a plateau and I have been doing the Daniel Fast, which is a spiritual fast, but my body is so drained from doing all of these fasts lately, that I really need to get back on a well-balanced meal plan. I need to give my body the nourishment it needs because obviously, I am not giving it enough of something. Anyways, I broke the fast yesterday while celebrating at the skating rink for my sons 5th birthday. I felt bad because this fast was for spiritual reasons and I normally can last through any situation.

I did not plan for myself yesterday, something that I normally am on top of. I am a part-time traveling hairstylist and went to do a client turned good friend's hair at 7:30am. I did have half an apple and a handful of grapes with a cup of green tea for my breakfast. Afterwards, I had to run a few errands before my babies party began at 1:30pm and by the time I finished it was time to go get the kids, freshen up a bit and head out to the skating rink.

We all know that there are not any healthy alternatives at a skating rink, but by this time, I was really starving and developing a headache. So I had a slice of cheese pizza with many cups of water. It was very good and satisfying but I felt guilty. The whole moral of this story is to ALWAYS ALWAYS plan your meals... I know that it is okay to have a "cheat" day, but don't let a "cheat" day occur due to the fact of you not planning. There was a lot of good that came out of this experience though, My son and family enjoyed themselves and I found me a new love out of this whole adventure...SKATING!!! :-)... I really enjoyed learning how to skate again and I will be taking myself and my kids once or twice a month. It was fun and a great way to get some cardio in without feeling like you're actually working out. Next time, I will plan and make sure that I prepare my snacks and have myself a nice filling green smoothie before going to the skating rink.

Day 1 - 7 day detox back to fitness and weight loss journey

Today, I started Day 1 of my 7 day detox to cleanse my body and to give myself a jumpstart back on my fitness and weight loss journey. Well, how did it go? I flopped!!! My motivation was there but I was starving by the time I made it home form work... I drunk my ACV and Green smoothie for breakfast, My cabbage soup for lunch and had plenty of water, but I have to get my body back to this lifestyle. I have taken a long break because it has been so much going on within this past year from March 2016 I broke my toe and a lot in my personal life has been going on. So stress eating began and even though the foods I was eating were healthy choices, too much healthy foods can pack on pounds as well especially when majority of them are high carbs and you're not working out. My goal is to lose 60 pounds by my birthday which is on September 9th with a well balanced meal plan (meal prepping) and exercise 4-5 days a week. So please continue to follow my journey with me for great tips on how ...

The Perfect Diet Plan

Is there a such thing as a perfect diet plan? All I know is, the less calories you take in if you are wanting to lose weight. The more you have to take in if you are building muscle.. But the "perfect" meal plan NO!.. Every meal plan does not work for everybody.. You must go by a low calorie meal plan that works for you. Stay away from sugar, processed foods, fried foods and high calorie foods and drink half of your body weight in ounces of water. Back to the basics. I have been on a continuous struggle with losing this last 25 pounds for over a year now. Listening to and doing all of these different diet plans, switching things up because this person said that you should do this and another person says that you shouldn't do that. Different trainers do different things, and depending on how close of a relationship you have with your personal trainer if you have one, you will not exceed those goals until you take the initiative and push yourself to the limits for yoursel...
