Always Plan Ahead

It has been a rough few weeks for me. Even though I have been working out 5-6 days a week, my weight has been at a plateau and I have been doing the Daniel Fast, which is a spiritual fast, but my body is so drained from doing all of these fasts lately, that I really need to get back on a well-balanced meal plan. I need to give my body the nourishment it needs because obviously, I am not giving it enough of something. Anyways, I broke the fast yesterday while celebrating at the skating rink for my sons 5th birthday. I felt bad because this fast was for spiritual reasons and I normally can last through any situation.

I did not plan for myself yesterday, something that I normally am on top of. I am a part-time traveling hairstylist and went to do a client turned good friend's hair at 7:30am. I did have half an apple and a handful of grapes with a cup of green tea for my breakfast. Afterwards, I had to run a few errands before my babies party began at 1:30pm and by the time I finished it was time to go get the kids, freshen up a bit and head out to the skating rink.

We all know that there are not any healthy alternatives at a skating rink, but by this time, I was really starving and developing a headache. So I had a slice of cheese pizza with many cups of water. It was very good and satisfying but I felt guilty. The whole moral of this story is to ALWAYS ALWAYS plan your meals... I know that it is okay to have a "cheat" day, but don't let a "cheat" day occur due to the fact of you not planning. There was a lot of good that came out of this experience though, My son and family enjoyed themselves and I found me a new love out of this whole adventure...SKATING!!! :-)... I really enjoyed learning how to skate again and I will be taking myself and my kids once or twice a month. It was fun and a great way to get some cardio in without feeling like you're actually working out. Next time, I will plan and make sure that I prepare my snacks and have myself a nice filling green smoothie before going to the skating rink.

Flirty Girls 10 Reasons To Work Out in The Mornings

10 Reasons to Workout in the Morning     It can be challenging to make the time to exercise. But exercising in the morning is a wonderful way to create a positive routine and provides many added benefits beyond just keeping you fit.   1. Burn FAT instead of calories Get up, get a glass of water, and workout. No breakfast, no small bite beforehand. Do not take in a single calorie until you do cardio first. The reasoning behind this is when you exercise without eating, your body needs to tap into something for energy. Your body's first source of energy is glycogen but since this was depleted overnight your body must burn unwanted FAT to get you through your workout.   2. Better long-term results Over 90% of people who exercise *consistently*, exercise in the morning. Our bodies love routine. If you force yourself to get up when your alarm goes off, your body will thank you and pay you back.   Extra perk: People who exercise regularly earn 9% more income than people who don't.   3
